The existing pneumatic active compression devices to assist athletes with recovery were bulky, cumbersome, needed to be plugged in to a wall socket (tethered). This severely restricted the user’s mobility while using the device.
Currently available active compression devices require AC power to operate and the devices are bulky and cumbersome, causing restrictions to move as the users have limited mobility while using the devices.
Our in-house research and development team at wavetec were able to “right size” the electronics, pneumatic systems and all soft goods to produce a revolutionary compression device.
